Stock Main Form: Web Tab
The Web Tab in the Stock Main Form allows you to manage how stock items appear online, ensuring better visibility and flexibility for webshops.

How to Configure the Web Tab
1. Navigate to: Stock Items > Item Lookup
2. Open the stock item.
3. Select the Web Tab.
4. Configure the following settings as needed:
Webshop Category Flexibility (Additional Groups/Categories)
When uploading items to a webshop, you can assign them to multiple categories (e.g., Monitors, Computers, Gaming).
These categories are used purely for web navigation and filtering, not for accounting or stock control.
This flexibility allows your products to appear in several areas of your webshop, making them easier for customers to find.
To manage webshop categories:
1. Open the stock item and go to the Web Tab.
2. To automate category assignments:
•Go to Stock Items > Stock Group.
•In the Additional Groups Display column, select the additional categories to link to the Smart-IT stock group.
3. Use Stock Items > Stock Options > New Defaults to set a default stock or inventory group when creating new items.
Meta Description
Write a short, compelling description (~160 characters) to improve your product’s search engine ranking.
Meta Title
Defines the title shown in search engine results and browser tabs.
If left blank, the webshop platform (e.g., PrestaShop) will automatically generate one.
Tip: Keep it under 70 characters for best SEO performance.
Web Item Name
Use this field if you want to display a different name for the item on your webshop, without changing the stock item’s internal name.
